 | Asami Tanaka One Bake Technique: The benefits of using the
One Bake porcelain build up technique is that you get a porcelain crown
with:
 | Better esthetics: The One Bake technique produce a highly
condensed porcelain that gives a true natural color and greater depth, yielding
a more esthetic crown. |
 | Less wear: Highly condensed porcelain greatly reduces the wear
on opposing natural teeth, even if the glazed surface is abraded. Crowns
are easily polished to a high glaze with any fine rubber wheel or point. |
 | Less risk of facture: Because all of the fine detail, anatomy,
internal staining, incisel layering, and interproximal contacts are incorporated
in the initial build up, there is only one bisque firing of the porcelain.
This prevents the porcelain from becoming over fired and vitreous from
multiple firings, eliminating potential fractures. |
 | Short seat time: With all the detail built in and a very condensed
build up you get a crown that has better esthetics and great accuracy
with occlusion and interproximal contacts eliminating adjustments at
seating. Seat time 5-10 minutes. |
|
 | Modified Opaque Layer: We add opaque modifiers to the opaque layer
to compensate for where the body porcelain becomes thin. This eliminates any
area that would normally appear bright opaque, such as margins, occlusals, linguals, and the occasional labial surface of an anterior where tooth
position may have hindered adequate reduction. With modified opaque and
condensed porcelain we are able to produce much better color and depth in
less space, eliminating the need for surface stains which eventually may
wear off. |
 | High Noble Alloy: We only use a high noble alloy so you get the
best restoration with:
 | Better esthetics: The high noble alloy is
silver free which helps
produce a warm natural color. |
 | More strength: With high noble alloys we get the perfect oxide
for the porcelain to bond to, eliminating the porcelain from popping off
the casting |
 | Better fit: High noble alloys have better casting and
burnishing abilities, producing a much more accurate margin and fit. |
 | Compatibility: Silver free high noble alloys are also the most
tissue compatible in most oral environments. Best of all.... it is included in our unit price. |
|
 | No metal showing: We use special diamond tipped tools to grip the
casting on the inside allowing us to apply porcelain over the entire cast,
eliminating any metal from showing once the crown is seated. With highly
glazed porcelain completely surrounding the margin, there is less tissue
irritation and less plaque build up than with polished metals. We still
apply metal collars on request or where tooth preparation dictates. |
 | Porcelain butt margins: We have developed a technique using .0005
thickness pure platinum foil and pressure of 2000 psi. to produce some of
the most accurate all porcelain margins in the dental field. We use all of
these same techniques on our laminates and all porcelain crowns. |
